Here is part 2 of the reasons why you need to go to Costa Rica.

If you like to fish, Costa Rica is the place that you need to go to. The amount of fish is plentiful. In fact, you can go offshore to get tuna, rooster fish, and marlin. You may also opt to remain on the beaches to get tarpon and snook. With so many choices, you can even choose to fish one day on the Caribbean and on the following day fish on the Pacific Ocean. You have your choices on what you would like to do. You essentially have no limit to where you can travel.

There are vacation package deals that are geared towards honeymoon to fabulous beach resorts. If you’re planning your honeymoon to Costa Rica, do your homework. Research online and find a good travel website to check out the specials. As for the honeymoon choices, couples can gaze at the beautiful scenery, hike, or simply relax in a spa treatment.

It basically depends on what you are looking for. Is this a trip that is just for adventure or do you want romance? Is it a family tour? Whatever it is you’re looking forward to your vacation, you will find vacation package deals that will suit your needs.

But before going there, you need to be aware that there are only 2 seasons in Costa Rica, the dry and rainy seasons. In the months from mid-November to April, this is the dry season. The rest of the year is the rainy season.

I have a tip for you. You do not want to go during Easter although this may be a great time as this is the time of spring break. Although it is during the dry season, you will have difficulty going around the country. The country basically goes in shut down mode during that holy week.

In terms of transportation and going around Costa Rica, you can take a bus but this can be slow. The good thing with this mode of transport is that it will be more scenic and cost less money too.

You could also rent a car. You can drive it but you need valid driver’s license plus a passport. You may also be required to get rental insurance.

A good alternative is the taxis. They are quite cheap and if you have a city official taxi, this is the cheapest and safest way of transportation.

If you have a good budget, money you could fly domestically to go to your various destinations. It should be noted however that flights are full during peak season.

Costa Rica sport fishing is a dream-come-true for most foreign tourists when they arrive here in country. In the Pacific ports and beach resorts of the Costa Rican coasts, deep sea fishing is the best spot while the Northern Atlantic coast’s rivers offer a different type of fishing with snook and tarpon.

Billfishes are the biggest attractions here with sport fishing of Costa Rica. With sailfish and marlin with deep sea fishing off the Pacific coast, it has been a favorite of veteran fishermen all over North America. The cobalt blue waters hold schools of dorado and many species of tuna with plenty of other fighters like roosterfish and wahoo. Moreover, anglers spending the time fishing off the rocks of Manuel Antonio’s and Quepos’s coasts will experience finding that amazing 60-pound rooster along with other fighters and the infamous dogtooth snapper just waiting for the other reef dwellers in the area.

Deep sea Costa Rica fishing is where the nation had cultivated its name for tourism. Nevertheless, fresh water fishing with Lake Arenal Northern Atlantic Zone rivers are also growing popularity is the field of fishing and tourism. With this kind of fishing, anglers should fight the small yet ornery guapote, a hump-backed fish known as the rainbow bass. Also with this type of fishing, one can encounter giant marlins, high jumping tarpons, sailfishes, and more hard hitting fresh water species abundant in the area.

Costa Rica fishing is one of the best activities when visiting the country because of the great experience and the wide variety of fishes you’ll witness. With the good old fishing, the country is blessed with a warm culture and a diverse biodiversity. Even with a limited time, one can indulge to several attractions because of the small size of the country. One can explore a day of water rafting or enjoy a rainforest hike after a day of sport fishing.

Recreational fishing or sport fishing has truly been a great deal with a vacation in Costa Rica. No wonder it is truly a sport fishing haven.

The sails are now moving in and with them are plenty of marlin, tuna and dorado. Where else can you better find sports fishing at it finest? Only here in Costa Rica.

Here is an insider’s take of Paul Winter with Costa Rica fishing.

Costa Rica Fishing – The Great Fishing Get A Way

Author: Paul Winter

One of the favorite past times of many vacationers is to go deep sea diving. Not only are there beautiful marine life and plants there is something mystical about being underneath the water. After a deep-sea dive many of these vacationers decide that they would like to take a slice of this heaven home. In order to achieve this they now turn to deep-sea fishing. The marine life looks great in the water and even better on the wall of the study at home!

There are many popular geographical locations that offer the diverse deep-sea diving experience. All of them have different features that truly set them apart from the rest. One of the most beautiful though is the Costa Rica area. The Costa Rica fishing will not disappoint you. Not only will you come home with a beautiful species sample, but also some good eating. There is a wide selection of fish to choose from when setting out on the Costa Rica fishing adventure.

The sailfish is one of the most popular hunts in the Costa Rica fishing expedition. These fish have made their way to the wondrous waters of Costa Rica and into the dreams of every angler around the world. The time of year does not matter when looking to hook a sailfish they are there yearlong. The tournaments however are held mainly in February, but can be expected anywhere from December to March. In the Costa Rica waters a fisherman can expect to hook anywhere from 15-20 sailfish per good fishing day!

The gigantic Marlin is another prized hook for anglers around the world. These fish can grow to around 200 pounds and can give you a run for your money. If it is Marlin that you are looking for they are easiest caught in the Southern waters of Costa Rica. Many of the Marlin anglers will stay around the Golfito area for the optimal results.

Another great Costa Rica fishing adventure is the hunt for Dorado. The Dorado is one of the leading catches in the Costa Rica waters. They are very popular because of their wonderful taste. They are very colorful fish that are very quick, so you better eat your Wheaties before setting out. Some anglers have reported that the Dorado can reach about 50 miles per hour! The best time to fish for the Dorado is between November and May, when they are most abundant.

There are several other types of fish that can be caught on a vacation for Costa Rica fishing. Nightlife is great and the day fishing is the best. There is no competition for a vacation in Costa Rica. Other fish that can be found in the area are Roosterfish, Snapper, Whaoo, Snook and Tuna; some good eating.
